Henrie Adams was born in Thorn (The Netherlands) and studied the oboe and conducting at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music. His teachers were Anton Kersjes, Lukas Vis and Pierre Kuijpers. He attended master classes in orchestral conducting with Pierre Dervaux and Enrique Garcia Asensio.
He was principal conductor of the chamber orchestra “Sinfonietta” of Maastricht, of the symphonic bands “Union” of Heythuysen and “Eendracht” of Meyel, and also of the Youth Orchestra of the Valencian Community (1992-1999). He was invited as guest conductor by the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra, the Madrid Municipal Band and the Valencia Symphony Orchestra. Since 1989 he is principal conductor of both the symphonic band and the orchestra of the Sociedad Musical “la Artística” of Buñol.
In July 2001 he obtained with this band the title of “World Champion” at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade (The Netherlands) with the highest score in the Concert Division.
He made more than 20 cd's with this orchestra for World Wind Music. On this CD Henrie Adams is guest conductor of the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides.
