Orchestra Fiati "Val Isonzo"

The "Val Isonzo" Musical Cultural Association was founded in 2011 by the interest of a group of musicians from the Isonzo river’s valley, with the aim of spreading the instrumental cultural music, particularly highlighting the contemporary repertoire for wind ensemble. The flexibility of the musicians allows the association to diversify its musical offer in terms of staff, passing from small chamber formations to get to the wind orchestra.

In particular the "Val Isonzo" Wind Orchestra is made up of about sixty students and former students, mainly coming from the conservatories and the music schools of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.

Concerts: although recently founded, it has already held numerous concerts including the one in 2011 at the Teatro Comunale of Monfalcone (Go) for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy; the closing concert of the "Mitteleuropa 2012" event in Gorizia; the "Concerto del Ricordo" project of 2014 dedicated to the fallen of the First World War, with performances in Austria, Slovenia, Udine and Gorizia of the "Missa Solemnis" for wind orchestra, mixed choir and solo soprano by A. Cecilia di Precenicco at the local Audutorium Comunale and the opening concert of the international competition for youth bands "MusicUp".
