World Adult Wind Orchestra Project (WAWOP)

The World Adult Wind Orchestra Project (WAWOP) unites accomplished wind orchestra musicians from around the world for an inspiring, challenging, and rewarding week of music-making.

Open to musicians aged 32 and above — with no upper age limit — WAWOP welcomes conductors, music educators, band members, and dedicated music enthusiasts who wish to perform alongside renowned conductors and composers at the highest artistic level.

Running in parallel with the World Youth Wind Orchestra Project (WYWOP) — designed for musicians aged 18 to 32 — WAWOP fosters a vibrant international community where music, collaboration, and lifelong friendships flourish.

In 2026, WAWOP will take place from Sunday, July 5, to Monday, July 13, at the BDB Music Academy in Staufen, Germany. Join us for an unforgettable musical experience!
