International brass music festival thrilled many thousands of visitors in Schladming and Haus im Ennstal

Last week, the Schladming-Dachstein region was all about brass music. From Tuesday to Saturday, more than 2,000 musicians from 19 nations met to make music together at the internationally renowned "Mid EUROPE" music festival. The festival, organized by the Tourist Office Schladming-Dachstein, impressively demonstrated the interconnectedness of regional, national and international wind music.

Once again, numerous musical highlights were offered, such as the children's concert "BERGkinder", the "LONG NIGHT" of music in Schladming, "Hoagascht" in Haus, the marching show "Schladming Tattoo" and impressive concerts of the World Youth Wind Orchestra Project.

This year's Mid EUROPE children's concert at congress Schladming was all about mountain rescue. First of all, the team of the mountain rescue Schladming showed the children how operations of the mountain rescue take place. At the following music program with the two music mediators Katharina Eckerstorfer and Guntram Zauner, together with the World Youth Wind Orchestra, there was a special music program for children, where everyone could actively participate.

At the "Long Night" the center of Schladming became a large open-air venue for thousands of visitors. A varied and diverse music program was offered on five stages and the thousands of musicians transformed Schladming into a music city with international flair. In addition, shopping was possible until late at night in stores of the Schladming merchants.

At the popular marching show "Schladming Tattoo" in the Planai Stadium, three orchestras and a percussion ensemble showed their extensive music repertoire including unique marching formations. For the first time, the Spartan Marching Band of Michigan State University from the USA provided a very special show experience with over 230 musicians.

THANKS to the organizing team, all supporters and helpers
At this point, the Tourist Office Schladming-Dachstein as the organizer would like to express a big thank you for the energetic support and tireless efforts of the Mid EUROPE organization team around boss Kurt Pfleger and artistic director Johann Mösenbichler. A big thank you also goes to all the helpers, who are supportive every year at the Mid Europe.
