Kfar-Saba Youth Symphonic Band

The Kfar-Saba youth symphonic band was established in 1988 by Dr. Samuel Franko, as a main part of the Kfar-Saba city’s cultural landscape. The band includes today as many as 70 young wind and percussion players. Since its establishment, the band has been performing in various concert halls throughout the country as well as abroad (concert tours have been conducted in USA, Canada, Thailand, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Austria and Portugal). It has participated in international festivals, opening concert of the ‘Maccabiah’ games, national band conventions, national television programs, CD recordings, etc. Since 2009 the Youth Symphonic Band is the lead band in the annual "Israeli Wind Band Festival" in which dozens of Israeli bands participate.

2011- The band participated at the "International Competition for Youth Wind Bands Class B", in Schladming Austria, and won the 2nd prize.
2013 - The Kfar- Saba Orchestra participated in the Kerkrade Wind Festival in The Netherlands and won the Golden Medal in their Category.
2015 - The band participated at the "International Competition for Youth Wind Bands Class B", in Scladming Austria, and won the 1st prize.
2017- The band participated in the "Lisbon Music Fest".
2019- The band participated in St. Petersburg Competition and Festival.

Conductor: Ofer Ein-Habar

Ofer Ein-Habar, Kfar-Saba Youth Symphonic Band conductor and music director.

1985-1988- served as a lead trumpet player in the IDF band.

1988-2012- Ein-Habar was a Trumpet teacher and conductor in the elementary school and in the conservatory.

2000- present- Conductor of the National Kibutzim Symphonic band

Ein-Habar has been the Head Director of the Kfar-Saba conservatory for music and dance since 2012. The conservatory has over 6000 students from kindergarten to 18 years old. As well as that, Ein-Habar is the artistic director of the "Israeli Festival for Big Bands and Orchestras". In his professional past, Ein-Habar also participated in brass quintets, performing around the country.

2023- Conductor of the National Young Symphonic Orchestra.
