WAWOP Package

Information About the Package

WAWOP Package Booking

All WAWOP participants can take advantage of a great package that includes lodging and meals, as well as admission to all Mid EUROPE concerts, the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card, an MP3 with concert recordings, and more. All details are listed below.

Bookings are handled by the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association, Schladming Information Office, Rohrmoosstraße 234, 8970 Schladming.

WAWOP PACKAGES 2025:
ALL PACKAGES INCLUDE:

  • 7 nights’ stay (July 11–18, 2027) in your chosen accommodation

  • 7 breakfasts at your hotel

  • 6 lunches at the Sporthotel Royer from Monday through Saturday (July 12–17, 2027)

  • 6 dinners at the Sporthotel Royer on Sunday (July 11, 2027) and from Tuesday through Saturday (July 13–17, 2027) 

  • 1 traditional Austrian dinner at the Waldhäuslalm on Monday (July 12, 2027) 

  •  Meals do not include beverages.

  •  Local tax of € 2.80 per person per night

  • WAWOP program fee (including registration for Mid EUROPE 2025—admission to all concerts and performances/events related to Mid EUROPE 2025 and other WAWOP expenses, including guest conductors/composers, sheet music, and more)

The Sporthotel Royer is located right next to the Congress Schladming, where the Mid EUROPE indoor concerts will take place. Group meals and most of the rehearsals will be held at the Sporthotel Royer or at the Congress. The hotel offers a variety of sports facilities, including underground access to the public swimming pool (free for all hotel guests). The hotel provides excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. Feel “royal” at the 4-star-superior Sporthotel Royer.

The TUI BLUE Hotel is located directly at the Planai cable car, just a three-minute walk from the Sporthotel Royer (group meals, some rehearsals) and congress Schladming, the concert venue of Central Europe. The hotel focuses on the essentials: modern, functional furnishings, clean lines in the design, and clearly defined quality standards

Option 3:

"Austrian Pension" — Hotel or Bed and Breakfast

Traditional Austrian lodging and hospitality at a lower cost with basic amenities. Within walking distance (15 minutes or more) of the Sporthotel Royer and the Congress Center, where group meals and rehearsals will take place. The term “pension” usually refers to private accommodations, of which there are many in Austria. They typically offer room and breakfast only and are usually family-run. There are certain differences among pensions, ranging from rooms on traditional farms to small, hotel-like establishments.

Flight recommendations: The nearest airports are Munich (MUC), Salzburg (SZG), or Vienna (VIE).

Airport shuttle:
By train

  • From Munich Airport: Take the train: www.bahn.de

  • From Salzburg Airport: Take the public bus to Salzburg Central Station, then take the train (ÖBB): www.oebb.at

  • From Vienna Airport: Book your train ticket through ÖBB: www.oebb.at

  • We recommend purchasing train tickets via www.bahn.de o rwww.oebb.at. You can also buy train tickets directly at the ticket counter in Munich at DIE BAHN or in Salzburg/Vienna at the ÖBB.

By bus or car

  • Organized shuttle bus: If you’re interested, we’d be happy to arrange a shuttle bus (50 seats) from Munich Airport to Schladming and from Schladming back to Munich Airport. You’ll find more details on the registration form.

  • www.flixbus.com (direct connections from Munich to Salzburg and from Salzburg to Schladming)

  • Another convenient option is the SMS—Salzburg Car Rental Service—from Munich Airport to your hotel in Schladming. It is essentially a minibus that can accommodate up to 10 people but may make additional stops on the way to Schladming:www.flughafentransfer.at

Organized shuttle bus:
If you’re interested, we’d be happy to arrange a shuttle bus (50 seats) from Munich Airport to Schladming on July 11, 2027 (for those arriving earlier, possibly on July 10, 2027) and from Schladming back to Munich Airport on July 18, 2027. Further details can be found in the registration form.


CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event of a cancellation, the cancellation policy of the Austrian Hotel Association (www.wko.at) applies:

  • 3 months before arrival: free cancellation

  • 1 month before arrival: 60% of the total price will be refunded

  • 1 week before arrival: 30% of the total price will be refunded

  • 7 days or less before arrival: 10% of the total price will be refunded

Leisure Activities

Of course, there’s also time for leisure, and you can make the most of it to get to know Schladming and the surrounding region better.

With the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card (included in the WAWOP Package), you can visit or use numerous attractions for free. Be sure to plan a snowball fight on the Dachstein Glacier, a gondola ride up to the Schladminger Planai, or a hike to the Wilde Wasser with the suspension bridge on the Alpinsteig “durch die Höll.” You can find information about the Summer Card here.
