Blechprojekt

This is who we are: We all come from the world of brass music and live it with passion. BlechProjekt upholds the tradition of polkas and marches, the music we grew up with, and gives it a modern twist through our own arrangements—sometimes with a jazzy touch, sometimes a bit unconventional, and at other times purely classic. We also have a few original compositions in this style in our repertoire. All of our musicians have studied at the University of Music or the Conservatory, and we even have two conductors among us, ensuring a high level of musical quality.

BlechProjekt was founded in spring 2021. The idea for the group came to us during one of the COVID lockdowns. Most of us already knew each other from university or from various orchestras, and we were all united by our desire to make more down-to-earth music. We've already performed at many events, including the Steirische Roas, the Schilchertage in Stainz, Aufsteirern in Graz, various Buschenschanken, fire department festivals, parish celebrations, weddings, and more. A particular highlight last year was our opportunity to open for the world-renowned brass band Ernst Hutter & die Egerländer Musikanten. Through this, we’ve already developed an extensive and diverse program and received a lot of positive feedback.
