City Winds

The wind orchestra of the twin towns Wetzlar and Schladming, which is organized as a project, will rehearse a concert program with symphonic wind music for a week with a professional conductor. The result of this workshop will then be presented to the public during a concert at the festival.

The project is intended to give over 70 ambitious musicians the opportunity to play orchestral literature that can not be rehearsed in their home orchestra. It also ensures a cross-orchestral and inter-city exchange, which can serve as a motivation for working in the local orchestra. We use the great opportunities that result from the fact that the twin towns Schladming and Wetzlar have been very close friends for nearly 45 years.

The experience and the fun of playing music together in an orchestra with musicians from other nations is an unforgettable experience.
