Vielharmonie Kirchlinteln
We are a modern flute orchestra and a traditional marching band from northern Germany. As early as 1881, a “corps of drummers and pipers” was formed in our home town of Kirchlinteln to accompany the marching band of the rifle club. Today, over 140 years later, this has grown into the Vielharmonie Kirchlinteln, one of the largest flute orchestras in the region.
In recent years, we have expanded our range of instruments. In addition to the classical concert flutes, piccolo, alto and bass flutes are also used. These are supported by a 10-piece percussion team. Whether marimba or vibraphone, timpani, drumset or various percussion instruments: Together with the flute parts, the special multi-harmonic sound is created.
We are proud of our range, it is an integral part of our club culture.
Around 50 musicians between the ages of 8 and 72 are currently involved in the association, some of whom are still in training. Together, we show that, in addition to making music across generations, there is one thing above all: harmony.
Having previously taken part in music competitions in the Netherlands, traveled to a festival in Verden's twin town of Saumur (France) in 2010 and 2014 and most recently performed in front of an international audience in Kirchlinteln's twin town of Letovice (Czech Republic) in 2019, we are now looking forward to wowing the audience in Schladming.
